Kṛpa’s Counsel to Duryodhana
The verse highlights how war increasingly targets the principal leaders, revealing the ethical weight of command: a king’s or prince’s choices mobilize entire armies and thereby magnify responsibility for harm, outcomes, and the moral direction of the conflict.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Duryodhana, backed by all his troops, launched a direct assault on the Pāṇḍavas, who are described as being led by Yudhiṣṭhira at the forefront.
