Educational Q&A

In the aftermath of violence, the first ethical impulse is accountability and concern for others—seeking truthful knowledge of the fate of one’s kin and the wider community (the armies), rather than self-justification or triumph.

Sañjaya reports that a key figure, after a brief period of reflection and recovering consciousness, turns to Sañjaya and asks for news: how his brothers are, and what the overall state of the forces is.
