Slaying of Kaurava princes and the fall of Śrutarvā

The verse highlights disciplined action: once one’s aim is firmly set (labdhalakṣya), one proceeds decisively. It also frames human effort within right guidance—Arjuna’s advance is strengthened by Kṛṣṇa as sārathi, suggesting that skill and resolve are most effective when aligned with dharma and wise counsel.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Arjuna, having found his mark and regained tactical focus, moves forward in his chariot. The detail that Kṛṣṇa is his charioteer and the horses are white emphasizes Arjuna’s distinctive war-car and the presence of divine strategy in the unfolding battle.
