Śalya-hatānantarāṇi: Madrarāja-padānugānāṃ praskandana and the Pandava counter-encirclement (शल्यहतानन्तराणि—मद्रराजपदानुगानां प्रस्कन्दनम्)

एवमेतन्महाराज युद्धशेषमवर्तत । तव दुर्मन्त्रिते राजन्‌ सह पुत्रस्य भारत,महाराज! भरतवंशी नरेश! इस प्रकार पुत्रसहित आपकी कुमन्त्रणासे इस युद्धका अन्त हुआ

evam etan mahārāja yuddhaśeṣam avartata | tava durmantrite rājan saha putrasya bhārata ||

Sañjaya sprach: „So war es, o großer König: so vollzog sich der Rest und so trat das letzte Ergebnis des Krieges ein. O König, Nachkomme Bharatas, er endete durch deinen schlechten Rat—zusammen mit deinem Sohn.“
