Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament and Kṛṣṇa’s Rudra-Cosmogony Explanation (सौप्तिक पर्व, अध्याय १७)
भूतान्यन्वसृजत् सप्त दक्षादींस्तु प्रजापतीन् । यैरिमं व्यकरोत् सर्व भूतग्रामं चतुर्विधम्
bhūtāny anvasṛjat sapta dakṣādīṁs tu prajāpātīn | yair imaṁ vyakarot sarva-bhūta-grāmaṁ catur-vidham ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Darauf erschuf er die sieben Klassen der Wesen und auch die Prajāpatis, beginnend mit Dakṣa. Durch sie entfaltete er diese ganze Menge der Geschöpfe in ihrer vierfachen Einteilung.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Creation is portrayed as a dharmically ordered process: the supreme source establishes progenitors (Prajāpatis) and structured categories, indicating that life and society are meant to function within an intelligible cosmic order and delegated responsibility.
Vaiśampāyana describes a stage of creation in which seven groups of beings and the Prajāpatis (starting with Dakṣa) are produced, and through these agents the full fourfold range of living creatures is spread out and organized.
