Educational Q&A

Even in the aftermath of war and rage, dharma includes protecting the vulnerable and restoring courage. Bhīma’s strength is shown not only in battle but in compassionate support—an ethical reminder that power should serve care and responsibility.

The narrator describes Bhīmasena seeing his wife (referred to as bhāminī) fallen in distress. Enraged yet steadfast, he quickly lifts her with both arms and consoles her, helping her regain composure amid the traumatic events of the Sauptika Parva.
