सहदेवद्न मे पुत्र: सदावेक्ष्यो वने वसन् । यथेदं व्यसन प्राप्प नायं सीदेन्महामति:,“बेटी! वनमें रहते हुए मेरे पुत्र सहदेवकी तुम सदा देखभाल रखना, जिससे यह परम बुद्धिमान सहदेव इस भारी संकटमें पड़कर दुःखी न होने पावे”
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | sahadevaṃ me putraḥ sadāvekṣyo vane vasan | yathedaṃ vyasanaṃ prāpya nāyaṃ sīden mahāmatiḥ ||
„Meine Tochter! Während ihr im Wald lebt, achte jederzeit auf meinen Sohn Sahadeva, damit jener großgesinnte, in dieses schwere Unheil geraten, nicht in Kummer versinke.“
