Rājasūyābhiṣeka-darśana: Duryodhana’s Observation of the Consecration
शयनानि महाहाणि योषितश्ष मनोरमा: । गुणवन्ति च वेश्मानि विहाराश्च यथासुखम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | śayanāni mahārhāṇi yoṣitaś ca manoramāḥ | guṇavanti ca veśmāni vihārāś ca yathāsukham ||
Vaiśampāyana sagte: „Kostbare Lager, reizvolle Frauen, wohl ausgestattete Paläste und Lustgärten, die Genuss nach Wunsch gewähren — wie den Göttern steht dir all dies gewiss schon auf ein einziges Wort des Befehls zur Verfügung. O mein unbezwingbarer Sohn, warum trauerst du dann wie ein mittelloser Mann?“
