दुर्योधनस्य बलिवर्णनम् — Duryodhana’s Description of Tribute at the Rājasūya
को हि नाम पुमॉल्लोके मर्षयिष्यति सत्त्ववान् । सपत्नानृद्धयतो दृष्टवा हीनमात्मानमेव च,संसारमें कौन ऐसा शक्तिशाली पुरुष होगा, जो शत्रुओंकी वृद्धि और अपनी हीन दशा होती देखकर भी चुपचाप सहन कर लेगा
ko hi nāma pumāṁl loke marṣayiṣyati sattvavān | sapatnān ṛddhayato dṛṣṭvā hīnam ātmānam eva ca ||
Duryodhana sprach: „Wer in dieser Welt—welcher Mann von Kraft und Geist—könnte schweigend ertragen, die Rivalen gedeihen zu sehen und sich selbst in einen niedrigeren Stand herabgesunken?“
