Jarāsandha–Bhīma Niyuddha-prastāvaḥ
Commencement of the Regulated Duel
तान् पाद्यमधुपकाह्िन् गवार्हान् सत्कृतिं गतान् | प्रत्युत्थाय जरासंध उपतस्थे यथाविधि,वे पाद्य, मधुपर्क और गोदान पानेके योग्य थे। उनका सर्वत्र सत्कार होता था। उन्हें आया देख जरासंध उठकर खड़ा हो गया और उसने विधिपूर्वक उनका आतिथ्य-सत्कार किया
tān pādyamadhupakārhān gavārhān satkṛtiṃ gatān | pratyutthāya jarāsaṃdha upatasthe yathāvidhi ||
Sie waren der überlieferten Ehren der Gastfreundschaft würdig—Wasser zum Füßewaschen, die Madhuparka-Gabe und das Geschenk einer Kuh—und überall wurden sie mit Achtung empfangen. Als Jarāsandha sie kommen sah, erhob er sich, begrüßte sie und erwies ihnen nach Vorschrift die gebührenden Willkommensriten.
