अत---#क्र+ एकविशो< ध्याय: श्रीकृष्णद्वारा मगधकी राजधानीकी प्रशंसा, चैत्यक पर्वतशिखर और नगाडोंको तोड़-फोड़-कर तीनोंका नगर एवं राजभवनमें प्रवेश तथा श्रीकृष्ण और जरासंधका संवाद वायुदेव उवाच एष पार्थ महान् भाति पशुमान् नित्यमम्बुमान् | निरामय: सुवेश्माढ्यो निवेशो मागध: शुभ:,श्रीकृष्ण बोले--कुन्तीनन्दन! देखो, यह मगध-देशकी सुन्दर एवं विशाल राजधानी कैसी शोभा पा रही है। यहाँ पशुओंकी अधिकता है। जलकी भी सदा पूर्ण सुविधा रहती है। यहाँ रोग-व्याधिका प्रकोप नहीं होता। सुन्दर महलोंसे भरा-पूरा यह नगर बड़ा मनोहर प्रतीत होता है
vāyudeva uvāca | eṣa pārtha mahān bhāti paśumān nityam ambumān | nirāmayaḥ suveśmāḍhyo niveśo māgadhaḥ śubhaḥ ||
Vāyu sprach: „O Pārtha, sieh nur, wie diese große Stadt Magadhas erstrahlt: reich an Vieh, stets reichlich mit Wasser versorgt, frei von Krankheit und erfüllt von schönen Palästen. Diese Siedlung ist glückverheißend und erfreut das Auge.“
