Kṛṣṇasya Khāṇḍavaprasthāt Dvārakā-prayāṇaḥ | Krishna’s Departure for Dvārakā

पार्थमामन्त्रय गोविन्द: परिष्वज्य सुपीडितम्‌,श्रीकृष्णके बिछोहसे अर्जुनको बड़ी व्यथा हो रही थी। गोविन्दने उन्हें हृदयसे लगाकर उनसे जानेकी अनुमति ली। फिर उन्होंने युधिष्ठिर और भीमसेनका चरणस्पर्श किया। युधिष्ठिर, भीम और अर्जुनने भगवान्‌को छातीसे लगा लिया और नकुल-सहदेवने उनके चरणोंमें प्रणाम किया (तब भगवानने भी उन दोनोंको छातीसे लगा लिया)

vaiśampāyana uvāca | pārtham āmantarya govindaḥ pariṣvajya supīḍitam | śrīkṛṣṇe vicchohase arjunasya mahān śokaḥ samabhavat | govindo hṛdayena tam āliṅgya gantum anumatiṃ jagrāha | tataḥ sa yudhiṣṭhira-bhīmasenayoḥ pādau spṛṣṭvā praṇanāma | yudhiṣṭhiro bhīmaś ca pārthaś ca bhagavantaṃ vakṣasā samāliṅgan | nakula-sahadevau tu tasya pādayoḥ praṇipetatuḥ, sa ca tāv api vakṣasā samāliṅgat ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Govinda bat Arjuna um Erlaubnis und umarmte ihn fest, denn Arjuna litt tief bei dem Gedanken an die Trennung von Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Nachdem er ihn ans Herz gedrückt und die Erlaubnis zum Aufbruch erhalten hatte, verneigte sich Kṛṣṇa, indem er die Füße Yudhiṣṭhiras und Bhīmasenas berührte. Dann schlossen Yudhiṣṭhira, Bhīma und Arjuna den Herrn an ihre Brust, während Nakula und Sahadeva sich zu seinen Füßen niederwarfen; und auch sie umarmte er seinerseits.
