विशाला बहुला भूमिर्बहुरत्नसमाचिता | दूरं गत्वा विजानाति श्रेयो वृष्णिकुलोद्वह,वृष्णिकुलभूषण! यह पृथ्वी बहुत विशाल है, अनेक प्रकारके रत्नोंसे भरी हुई है, मनुष्य दूर जाकर (सत्पुरुषोंका संग करके) यह समझ पाता है कि अपना कल्याण कैसे होगा
viśālā bahulā bhūmir bahuratnasamācitā | dūraṃ gatvā vijānāti śreyo vṛṣṇikulodvaha vṛṣṇikulabhūṣaṇa ||
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „O Erster des Vṛṣṇi-Geschlechts, Zierde der Vṛṣṇis! Diese Erde ist weit und reich, erfüllt von vielerlei Schätzen. Erst wenn der Mensch in die Ferne zieht—edlen Menschen begegnet und das Leben jenseits des eigenen Ortes sieht—erkennt er wahrhaft, was zu seinem höchsten Heil führt.“
