Transliteration

dodhūyamānasya bhṛśaṃ dhanuṣaḥ śṛṇu niḥsvanam |

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: „Höre das dröhnende Schnarren der Bogensehne, wenn der Bogen mit großer Wucht geschüttelt wird. Karna, von unermesslicher Kraftglut erfüllt, wirbelt seinen Bogen so gewaltig, dass sein Nachhall selbst andere mächtige Geräusche zu übertönen scheint—hör hin!“
