The verse highlights the dharmic importance of timely, decisive action in a crisis: when duty calls in battle, hesitation wastes the critical moment and can magnify harm. It also reflects disciplined reliance on rightful roles—Arjuna commands the tactical need while Kṛṣṇa, as charioteer, executes it.
In the midst of the Karṇa Parva battle, Arjuna again addresses Kṛṣṇa and urges him to drive the chariot horses quickly, stressing that time is running out—implying an immediate tactical necessity to engage, pursue, or reposition before the opportunity passes.
