Transliteration

tataḥ karṇo mahārāja praviveśa mahad bhayam

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Dann geriet Karṇa, o großer König, in eine überaus heftige Furcht—ein innerer Wendepunkt unter dem Druck der Schlacht, an dem selbst ein berühmter Krieger der moralischen und seelischen Last des Krieges begegnet.
