कर्णिनालीकनाराचैस्तोमरप्रासशक्तिभि: । मुसलैभिन्दिपालैश्न रथस्थं पार्थमार्दयन्,उन्होंने रथपर बैठे हुए अर्जुनको कर्णी, नालीक, नाराच, तोमर, मूसल, प्रास, भिंदिपाल और शक्तियोंद्वारा गहरी चोट पहुँचायी
karṇinālīkanārācais tomaraprāsaśaktibhiḥ | musalair bhindipālaiś ca rathasthaṃ pārtham ārdayan ||
Sañjaya sprach: Während Arjuna auf seinem Wagen saß, bearbeiteten sie ihn mit vielerlei Wurfwaffen—karṇi-Darts, nālīka-Pfeilen, nārāca-Geschossen, tomara-Wurfspeeren, prāsa-Lanzen, śakti-Spießen, dazu schweren Keulen und bhindipāla-Waffen—und fügten ihm in der unablässigen Drangsal der Schlacht tiefe Wunden zu.
