तेषामापततां केतूनश्वांश्वापानि सायकान् । नाराचैरर्थचन्द्रैश्न क्षिप्रं पार्थो न्यपातयत्,जब अर्जुनका रथ दूसरी ओर जाने लगा, तब दूसरे मूढ़ कौरव योद्धा लोग उनपर टूट पड़े। उस समय कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुनने उन आक्रमणकारियोंके ध्वज, अश्व, धनुष और बाणोंको नाराचों और अर्धचन्द्रोंद्वारा शीघ्र ही काट गिराया
