वासुदेवं च वार्ष्णेयं प्रीयमाणं किरीटिना । प्रत्युद्याहि महाबाहो पौरुषे महति स्थित:
vāsudevaṃ ca vārṣṇeyaṃ prīyamāṇaṃ kirīṭinā | pratyudyāhi mahābāho pauruṣe mahati sthitaḥ ||
Arjuna sprach: „O du Mächtigarmiger, stehe fest in großer männlicher Tapferkeit und ziehe aus, um Vāsudeva zu begegnen — Kṛṣṇa aus dem Geschlecht der Vṛṣṇis, der mir, dem diademtragenden Arjuna, stets wohlgesinnt ist. Stelle dich auch ihm.“
