एते परिघसंकाशा: पुण्यगन्धानुलेपना: । उद्धता रणशूराणां पात्यन्ते सायुधा भुजा:
ete parighasaṅkāśāḥ puṇyagandhānulepanāḥ | uddhatā raṇaśūrāṇāṃ pātyante sāyudhā bhujāḥ ||
Diese Arme der Kampfhelden—hoch erhoben im Gefecht, dick wie eiserne Keulen und mit heilig duftender Sandelpaste gesalbt—werden abgehauen und stürzen zu Boden, noch immer die Waffen tragend.
