नश्यमानमहं युक्त मन्येयमिति मे मतिः । “रणभूमिमें तुम्हें पाकर सारा क्षत्रियसमाज एक दिनमें नष्ट हो सकता है, ऐसा कहना मैं युक्तिसंगत मानता हूँ। मेरी तो ऐसी ही धारणा है |। ५० ई ।।
naśyamānam ahaṁ yuktaṁ manyeyam iti me matiḥ | seyaṁ pārtha camūr ghorā dhārtarāṣṭrasya saṁyuge ||
Sañjaya sprach: «Mir scheint es ein begründetes Urteil, dass, sobald man dir auf dem Schlachtfeld begegnet, die gesamte Schar der Kṣatriya-Krieger an einem einzigen Tag vernichtet werden könnte. Das ist meine Überzeugung. Und nun, o Pārtha, sieh dieses schreckliche Heer der Söhne Dhṛtarāṣṭras, zum Kampf aufgestellt.»
