Transliteration

sa māṃ samāsādya narendra yattaḥ samabhyayāt siṃham iva dvipendraḥ | akāraṣīc ca rathinām ujjihīrṣā mahārāja vadhyatāṃ kauravāṇām ||

Translation

Arjuna sprach: „O König, als er zu mir herankam, auf den Sieg bedacht, stürmte er geradewegs auf mich los—wie ein herrlicher Elefant, der auf einen Löwen zustürzt. Und, o großer König, er handelte in dem Entschluss, die Kaurava-Wagenkrieger zu retten, die bereits niedergemacht wurden.“
