Arjuna’s targeted advance; Śalya–Karṇa dialogue; interception attempts

Educational Q&A

Even amid war, the speaker’s resolve to fight is framed by responsibility and care: he seeks assurance of Yudhiṣṭhira’s safety first, then returns to combat. The verse highlights duty tempered by loyalty and concern for the righteous leader.

Sanjaya reports a warrior’s intention: he asks Kṛṣṇa (Vārṣṇeya) to go to where King Yudhiṣṭhira is, so he can see him safe with his brothers; after that reassurance, he will re-enter the battle and fight the enemies again.
