जल पीत्वा मृतान् पश्य पिबतो<न््यांश्व॒ मारिष
Translation
Sañjaya sprach: O Arjuna, erhabenster Held, sieh dorthin: Manche starben, nachdem sie Wasser getrunken hatten, und manche verloren ihr Leben noch während des Trinkens. Viele Soldaten, die ihre Verwandten liebten, ließen die Geliebten zurück und liegen in jener großen Schlacht hier und dort leblos umher.
