tato 'pareṇa bhallena ketuṁ vivyādha māriṣa | sa vānaravaro rājan viśvakarmakṛto mahān |
Sañjaya sprach: Dann durchbohrte er mit einem weiteren Pfeil mit breiter Spitze das Banner. O Ehrwürdiger! Jenes erhabene Affenemblem—gewaltig und von Viśvakarman geschaffen—stand als mächtiges Zeichen königlicher Tapferkeit, selbst mitten im Toben des Krieges.

Sañjaya reports that a warrior strikes and pierces the chariot-banner with another bhalla arrow. The banner bears a great monkey-emblem, described as a magnificent work crafted by the divine artisan Viśvakarman.
