Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
अवश्यं तु मया वाच्यं॑ बुद्ध्यता त्वद्धिताहितम् । विशेषतो रथस्थेन राज्ञश्नैव हितैषिणा
avaśyaṁ tu mayā vācyaṁ buddhyatā tvad-hitāhitam | viśeṣato ratha-sthena rājñaś caiva hitaiṣiṇā ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Ich muss, mit klarem Urteil, aussprechen, was wahrhaft zu deinem Wohl ist und was nicht. Umso mehr, da ich auf dem Wagen als Wagenlenker des Königs stehe und ihm wohlgesinnt bin; daher ist es meine unabweisbare Pflicht, dir offen zu sagen, was dir Heil bringt und was Unheil nach sich zieht.“
