उपर्युपरि वेनने सागरं मकरालयम्‌ | उड़नेवाले हंसने कौओंकी वह बात सुनकर बड़े वेगसे मकरालय समुद्रके ऊपर-ऊपर पश्चिम दिशाकी ओर उड़ना आरम्भ किया

uparyupari venane sāgaraṃ makarālayam | uḍanevāle haṃsane kauoṃkī vaha bāta sunakara baṛe vegase makarālaya samudrake ūpara-ūpara paścima diśākī ora uḍanā ārambha kiyā

Als der fliegende Schwan die Worte der Krähen hörte, sammelte er sogleich große Geschwindigkeit und begann westwärts zu fliegen, dicht über die Oberfläche des Ozeans hin—der Wohnstatt der Makaras—sich immer wieder darüber erhebend und vorwärtsziehend.
