कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

संस्पृष्ट:स्थाणुना सद्यो निर्व्रण: समजायत । प्रीतश्न भगवान्‌ देव: कर्मणा तेन तस्य वै,परंतु महादेवजीके हाथोंका स्पर्श पाकर परशुरामजीके सारे घाव तत्काल दूर हो गये। परशुरामके उस शत्रुविजयरूपी कर्मसे भगवान्‌ शंकर बड़े प्रसन्न हुए

saṁspṛṣṭaḥ sthāṇunā sadyo nirvraṇaḥ samajāyata | prītaś ca bhagavān devaḥ karmaṇā tena tasya vai ||

Von Sthāṇu (Śiva) berührt, war er sogleich frei von allen Wunden. Der selige Herr, der Gott, war wahrhaft erfreut über diese Tat—seinen Sieg über den Feind—und zeigte damit, wie göttliche Gnade auf Tapferkeit antwortet, wenn sie einem höheren Zweck entspricht.
