Droṇa’s Fall: Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Inquiry
एकस्तु धार्तराष्ट्रेभ्य:ः पाण्डवान् य: समाश्रित: । त॑ बृहन्तो महाकाया युयुत्सुमवहन् रणे
ekas tu dhārtarāṣṭrebhyaḥ pāṇḍavān yaḥ samāśritaḥ | taṃ bṛhanto mahākāyā yuyutsum avahan raṇe ||
Sañjaya sprach: Unter den Söhnen Dhṛtarāṣṭras war einer—Yuyutsu—der bei den Pāṇḍavas Zuflucht gesucht hatte. Im dichtesten Kampfgetümmel packten ihn hoch aufragende Krieger von gewaltigem Wuchs und trugen ihn mitten aus der Schlacht fort—ein Geschehen, das zeigt, wie Treue zum Dharma einen Menschen selbst unter den eigenen Verwandten isolieren und im Wirrwarr des Krieges zum Ziel machen kann.
