स भवान् क्षत्रियगुणैर्युक्त: सर्वे: कुलोदह: । अविपक्रिद् यथा वाचं व्याहरन् नाद्य शोभसे,“तुम समस्त क्षत्रियोचित गुणोंसे सम्पन्न और इस कुलका भार वहन करनेमें समर्थ होते हुए भी आज मूर्खके समान बातें कर रहे हो, यह तुम्हें शोभा नहीं देता है
sa bhavān kṣatriya-guṇair yuktaḥ sarvaiḥ kulodvahaḥ | avipakrid yathā vācaṃ vyāharan nādya śobhase ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Obwohl du mit allen Tugenden ausgestattet bist, die einem Kṣatriya ziemen, und die Bürde und Ehre deines Geschlechts zu tragen vermagst, erscheinst du heute nicht würdig — denn du redest wie ein unbedachter Mann. Solche Worte stehen dir nicht an.“
