आसीतू सुविद्धलो राजन्‌ यथा दृष्टस्त्वया विभु: । फिर वे हथियार डालकर अपने प्राणोंकी ममतासे रहित हो अचेत हो गये। राजन! उस समय शक्तिशाली होनेपर भी वे कितने व्याकुल हो गये थे, यह आपने प्रत्यक्ष देखा था

Transliteration

āsīt suviddhalaḥ rājan yathā dṛṣṭas tvayā vibhuḥ |

Translation

Arjuna sprach: „O König, du selbst hast gesehen, wie jener Mächtige erschien—durchbohrt und überwältigt. Er warf seine Waffen fort und sank bewusstlos nieder, ohne noch am Leben zu hängen; und obwohl er stark war, sah man ihn von Qual erschüttert.“
