Transliteration
tataste vyākulī bhūtā rājānaḥ karṇapīḍitāḥ
Translation
Da gerieten jene Könige, von Karṇa gepeinigt, in Verwirrung und Bedrängnis; ihre Fassung zerbrach im Gedränge der Schlacht—und es zeigte sich, wie ungezügelte Kriegstüchtigkeit selbst Herrscher erschüttern kann, wenn Mut nicht durch Zucht und rechten Rat gefestigt ist.
