दुर्योधन–द्रोणसंवादः
Arjuna-vīrya-prasaṃśā and renewed battle formation
यस्त्वमुत्सहसे योद्धुं समरे शौरिणा सह । सूतपुत्र! तुम जो सदा समरभूमिमें भगवान् श्रीकृष्णके साथ युद्ध करनेका उत्साह दिखाते हो, यह तुम्हारा महान् अन्याय (अक्षम्य अपराध) है
yastvam utsahase yoddhuṃ samare śauriṇā saha | sūtaputra |
Kripa sprach: „Du, der du es wagst, auf dem Schlachtfeld Eifer zu zeigen, gegen Śauri (Krishna) zu kämpfen—o Sohn eines Wagenlenkers—das ist ein schweres Unrecht, ein unverzeihliches Vergehen.“
कृप उवाच
The verse frames hostility toward Kṛṣṇa (Śauri) not merely as a tactical choice in war but as an ethical transgression—an act of adharma—highlighting the moral weight of opposing a figure regarded as divinely aligned with righteousness.
Kṛpa addresses Karṇa (called “sūtaputra”) and censures his repeated readiness to fight in the war even when it entails confronting Kṛṣṇa, portraying Karṇa’s martial zeal in this direction as blameworthy and unjust.
