tatra nāgā rathāśvaiva jāmbūnadavibhūṣitāḥ

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Dort waren die Kriegselefanten, die Wagen und die Pferde allesamt mit Jāmbūnada-Gold geschmückt—königlicher Glanz inmitten der düsteren Wirklichkeit der Schlacht, wo äußere Pracht dem inneren Preis der Gewalt entgegensteht.
