तस्माद् भीम निवर्तस्व मम चेदिच्छसि प्रियम् । “शत्रुदमन वीर! इस समय और भविष्यमें भी राजाकी रक्षा करना ही श्रेयस्कर है। तुम मेरा बल जानते हो और मैं तुम्हारा। अतः भीमसेन! यदि तुम मेरा प्रिय करना चाहते हो तो लौट जाओ
tasmād bhīma nivartasva mama cedicchasi priyam |
Sañjaya sprach: „Darum, o Bhīma, kehre um—wenn du tun willst, was mir lieb ist. In diesem Augenblick und auch für das, was noch kommt, ist es klüger, den König zu schützen. Du kennst meine Stärke, und ich kenne die deine; so zieh dich zurück, Bhīmasena, wenn du mir eine Freude machen willst.“
