युधिछिर उवाच
This line functions as a colophon marking the end of a chapter: it emphasizes orderly transmission of the epic, situating the reader within the larger ethical-war narrative (Droṇa Parva) and highlighting that the chapter’s content is a dialogue—an important Mahābhārata method for exploring dharma through counsel and debate amid crisis.
The text announces that the 111th chapter—centered on the conversation between Yudhiṣṭhira and Sātyaki—has concluded, and it locates this chapter within the Droṇa Parva and specifically within the Jayadratha-slaying episode.
