भूय एवाभ्यवर्षच्च समरे कृष्णपाण्डवौ,उसने समरभूमिमें बड़ी भारी बाण-वर्षा करके श्रीकृष्ण और पाण्डुकुमार धनंजयपर पुनः बाणोंकी झड़ी लगा दी। इससे आपके सैनिक बड़े प्रसन्न हुए। वे बाजे बजाने और सिंहनाद करने लगे

Sañjaya sprach: Wiederum, mitten im Kampfgetümmel, ließ er einen wilden Pfeilhagel auf Kṛṣṇa und den Pāṇḍava (Arjuna) niedergehen. Als deine Soldaten diesen erneuten Geschosssturm sahen, waren sie überaus erfreut; sie ließen die Instrumente dröhnen und erhoben löwenhafte Rufe—und offenbarten damit, wie im Krieg die Kampfmoral oft bei Schauplätzen der Kriegskunst anschwillt, während die ethischen Kosten der Gewalt weiter anwachsen.
