संजय उवाच
As a colophon, the verse does not teach through direct instruction; it signals that Duryodhana’s speech is central to this chapter, implicitly stressing how speech, resolve, and counsel in war carry ethical weight and shape outcomes.
Sanjaya marks the completion of the chapter in the Drona Parva, within the Jayadratha-slaying episode, specifying that the chapter’s focus was Duryodhana’s words—serving as a formal closure and thematic signpost.
