सम्पूर्ण भूपाल पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुनपर बाणसमूहोंकी वर्षा कर रहे थे, तो भी शत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले इन्द्रकुमार धर्मात्मा पार्थ तनिक भी व्यथित नहीं हुए ।।
sañjaya uvāca | sampūrṇaṁ bhūpālāḥ pāṇḍunandanaṁ arjunaṁ prati bāṇasamūhānāṁ varṣāṁ kurvantaḥ, tathāpi śatruvīrāṇāṁ saṁhārakaro indrakuṁāro dharmātmā pārthaḥ tanikāṁ api vyathāṁ na jagāma || sa tāni śarajālāni gadāḥ prāsāṁś ca vīryavān āgatān agrasat pārthaḥ saritaḥ sāgaro yathā ||
Sañjaya sprach: Obwohl die versammelten Könige einen Regen von Pfeilen auf Arjuna, den Sohn Pāṇḍus, niedergehen ließen, wurde der dharmagesinnte Pārtha—Indras Sohn, Vernichter feindlicher Recken—nicht im Geringsten erschüttert.
