तामापतन्तीं सम्प्रेक्ष्य वियत्स्थामशनीमिव । उत्पत्य राक्षसस्तूर्ण जग्राह च ननाद च
tām āpatantīṃ samprekṣya viyat-sthām aśanīm iva | utpatya rākṣasas tūrṇaṃ jagrāha ca nanāda ca ||
Sañjaya sprach: Als er sah, wie jenes mächtige Geschoss aus dem Himmel herabfuhr, leuchtend wie ein Blitz, sprang der Rākṣasa Ghaṭotkaca sogleich empor, packte es und brüllte wie ein Löwe.
