घटोत्कचेन सहिता: सिंहनादान् प्रचक्रिरे । वे इतने डर गये थे कि हम दोनोंकी बातोंपर विश्वास नहीं करते थे। उन्हें भागते देख विजयी पाण्डव घटोत्कचके साथ सिंहनाद करने लगे
ghaṭotkacena sahitāḥ siṃhanādān pracakrire |
Sañjaya sprach: Vereint mit Ghaṭotkaca stießen sie siegreiche Löwenrufe aus. Die feindlichen Krieger waren so erschrocken, dass sie nicht einmal mehr dem trauten, was sie sahen und hörten; und als sie sie fliehen sahen, verkündeten die siegreichen Pāṇḍavas zusammen mit Ghaṭotkaca ihren Erfolg mit dröhnenden Rufen—ein Bild von Moral und psychologischer Wucht inmitten der Ethik des Krieges.
