Adhyāya 86: Irāvān’s Lineage, Cavalry Clash, and the Māyā-Duel Ending in Irāvān’s Fall

न चैव मापकं किंचिद्धृष्ट शंससि संजय । नित्यं पाण्डुसुतान्‌ हृष्टानभग्नान्‌ सम्प्रशंससि

na caiva māpakaṃ kiñcid dṛṣṭaṃ śaṃsasi saṃjaya | nityaṃ pāṇḍusutān hṛṣṭān abhagnān sampraśaṃsasi ||

Dhṛtarāṣṭra sprach: „Und doch, Sañjaya, berichtest du mir nichts, was ich als günstiges Zeichen für meine Seite nehmen könnte. Stattdessen preist du Tag für Tag die Söhne Pāṇḍus als frohgemut und ungebrochen — noch immer unbesiegt.“
