भीष्मवधाय प्रयाणम् — The Advance toward Bhīṣma and Counter-Engagements
तत्राद्भुतमपश्याम तव तेषां च भारत । न तत्रासीत् पुमान् कश्रिद् यो युद्ध नाभिकाड्क्षति
tatrādbhutam apaśyāma tava teṣāṃ ca bhārata | na tatrāsīt pumān kaścid yo yuddhaṃ nābhikāṅkṣati ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Dort sahen wir einen wunderbaren Kampfesmut, sowohl in euren Reihen als auch in den ihren, o Bhārata. An jenem Ort gab es keinen einzigen Mann, der nicht nach der Schlacht verlangte.“
