Transliteration

tasya tat sumahad rūpaṃ dṛṣṭvā sarve mahārathāḥ

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Als sie seine überaus gewaltige und ehrfurchtgebietende Gestalt erblickten, wurden alle großen Wagenkämpfer von Staunen und Schrecken ergriffen—eine Begegnung, die für einen Augenblick das gewöhnliche Kampfvertrauen aussetzt und selbst Erprobte zwingt, einer Macht jenseits bloß menschlicher Tüchtigkeit ins Auge zu sehen.
