Vāsudeva-Māhātmya: Duryodhana’s Inquiry and Bhīṣma’s Theological Account of Keśava
मुहूर्तदृष्टः स मया पतितो भुवि दृश्यते । जो कोई भी योद्धा नरश्रेष्ठ भीष्मके सम्मुख आ जाता, वह मुझे एक ही मुहूर्तमें खड़ा दिखायी देकर उसी क्षण धरतीपर लोटता दिखायी देता था | ३२ ह ।। एवं सा धर्मराजस्य वध्यमाना महाचमू:
muhūrtadṛṣṭaḥ sa mayā patito bhuvi dṛśyate |
Sañjaya sprach: „Nur einen kurzen Augenblick sah ich ihn — dann sah man ihn auf die Erde gestürzt. Jeder Krieger, der Bhīṣma von Angesicht zu Angesicht entgegentrat, erschien mir nur für einen Moment aufrecht, und in eben diesem Moment sah man ihn schon zu Boden rollen.“
