Transliteration

vimardaḥ sumahān āsīd alpānāṃ bahubhiḥ saha

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Ein überaus großes, zermalmendes Handgemenge erhob sich, als wenige gegen viele in den Kampf gedrängt wurden—ein Bild der grausamen Unwucht des Krieges und der Gefahr für die zahlenmäßig Unterlegenen.
