Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
सम्पूज्यमान: पाज्चाल्यैर्मत्स्यैश्न भरतर्षभ । धृष्टद्युम्नं परिष्वज्य समेयादथ सात्यकिम्
sampūjyamānaḥ pāñcālyair matsyaiś ca bharatarṣabha | dhṛṣṭadyumnaṃ pariṣvajya sameyād atha sātyakim ||
Sañjaya sprach: O Stier der Bhāratas, von den Pāñcālas und den Matsyas gebührend geehrt, umarmte er Dṛṣṭadyumna und ging dann auch Sātyaki entgegen.
संजय उवाच
Even amid impending conflict, dharma expresses itself through honoring allies, acknowledging support, and strengthening relationships through respectful conduct and sincere gestures.
Sañjaya reports that, after being honored by the Pāñcālas and Matsyas, the central figure in the scene embraces Dhṛṣṭadyumna and then proceeds to meet Sātyaki, reaffirming unity among the Pāṇḍava-aligned forces.
