अथैनं छिन्नथन्वानं शरै: संनतपर्वभि: । अभ्यवर्षदमेयात्मा वृष्ट्या मेघ इवाचलम्
athainaṁ chinnathanvānaṁ śaraiḥ saṁnataparvabhiḥ | abhyavarṣad ameyātmā vṛṣṭyā megha ivācalam ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Dann überschüttete Droṇa — von unermesslichem Geist — den, dessen Bogen zerschnitten war, mit einem Schauer von Pfeilen mit gebogenen Knoten, wie eine Wolke Regen auf einen unbewegten Berg gießt.“
