अहं योत्स्यामि भवत: संयुगे धृतराष्ट्रजान् । युष्मदर्थ महाराज यदि मां वृणुषेडनघ,“महाराज! निष्पाप नरेश! यदि आप मुझे स्वीकार करें तो मैं आपलोगोंके लिये युद्धमें धृतराष्ट्रके पुत्रोंसे युद्ध करूँगा'
ahaṁ yotsyāmi bhavataḥ saṁyuge dhṛtarāṣṭrajān | yuṣmadartha mahārāja yadi māṁ vṛṇuṣed anagha ||
«O großer König, ich werde im Kampf gegen die Söhne Dhṛtarāṣṭras für dich streiten. Wenn du, makelloser Herrscher, mich anzunehmen geruhst, dann werde ich deinetwegen gegen sie in den Krieg ziehen.»
