Kurukṣetra-sainyadarśana and Arjuna-viṣāda (धर्मक्षेत्रे समवेता युयुत्सवः — अर्जुनविषाद)
य इदं पठते स्तोत्र कल्य उत्थाय मानव:
ya idaṃ paṭhate stotraṃ kalye utthāya mānavaḥ
Sañjaya sprach: Wer, früh bei Tagesanbruch aufstehend, diesen Hymnus rezitiert,—
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined devotion: rising at dawn and reciting a sacred hymn is presented as a dharmic practice that brings auspicious results and moral-spiritual merit.
Sañjaya continues his report by stating a phala-śruti style assurance: the person who recites the preceding stotra, especially at dawn, is promised beneficial outcomes, reinforcing the value of remembrance and ritual discipline amid the epic’s war setting.
